Muhammad was born in approximately 570 CE in Mecca, a prominent city in the Arabian Peninsula. He belonged to the Quraysh tribe, which was respected and influential in Meccan society. His father, Abdullah, died before he was born, and his mother, Amina, passed away when he was just six years old. Muhammad was subsequently raised by his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, and later by his uncle, Abu Talib.<\/p>
