Allah, in the Quran, warns against injustice, whether it is inflicted on an individual or a community. Several Quranic verses and hadiths emphasize that those who oppress others will face severe punishment in the afterlife, while the oppressed will receive Allah\u2019s mercy.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Quranic Verses on Oppression:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Those who wrong themselves by turning away from the right path will be punished.&#8221; (<em>Surah 42: Verse 42<\/em>)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Allah does not love the unjust.&#8221; (<em>Surah 3: Verse 57<\/em>)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also warned against injustice in these words: &#8220;Beware of injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection.&#8221; (Reported by Muslim).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7184eca elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7184eca\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-fc7b6ca\" data-id=\"fc7b6ca\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18574b2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"18574b2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. The Rights of the Oppressed in Islam<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-132bcde elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"132bcde\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f4638d4\" data-id=\"f4638d4\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fa25ba3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fa25ba3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Islam fully acknowledges the rights of the oppressed and seeks to provide them with protection and redress. These rights are granted through divine and human justice.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a. Divine Protection<\/span><\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Regardless of their status or condition, the oppressed have the right to turn to Allah for justice. Islam teaches that the prayer of the oppressed is always answered. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: &#8220;Fear the supplication of the one you oppress, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.&#8221; (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This means that when someone faces injustice, Allah listens directly to their prayers and responds to their pleas for justice.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b. The Support of the Believers<\/span><\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The oppressed also have the right to receive the support and solidarity of the Muslim community. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised: &#8220;Help your brother, whether he is the oppressor or the oppressed.&#8221; The companions asked, &#8220;O Messenger of Allah! Prayers play a crucial role in a Muslim&#8217;s life, especially when they are confronted with injustice. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged believers to call upon Allah in times of distress, and there are specific prayers for those who suffer oppression.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a. Specific Duas for the Oppressed<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Several prayers are mentioned in Islamic texts to help the oppressed seek justice. Here are some of the most common invocations:<\/span><\/p><ol style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Dua of Abu Hurayrah<\/strong>: &#8220;O Allah! I ask You to protect me from the tyranny of men and to relieve me from the suffering I endure.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Dua of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)<\/strong>: &#8220;O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, grant me Your help against those who oppress me.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Ayat Al-Kursi<\/strong> (<em>Surah 2:255<\/em>): This verse is often recited to protect oneself from all forms of injustice and oppression.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Surah Al-Fil<\/strong> (<em>Surah 105<\/em>): This chapter recalls how Allah protected the Kaaba from oppressors and is sometimes recited by those seeking protection from injustice.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ol><h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b. The Invocation in Patience<\/span><\/h3><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">One of the key virtues promoted in Islam when facing oppression is patience (<em>sabr<\/em>). While injustice can cause great suffering, Islam encourages believers to remain patient while seeking divine assistance.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Allah says in the Quran: &#8220;Seek help through patience and prayer.&#8221; (<em>Surah 2: Verse 45<\/em>).
