The Prophet (ﷺ) taught us these prayers, and they’re easy to remember.Accessing accurate information found in the Quran and Sunnah, along with clear interpretations, requires relying on specialists through the best online courses to learn the Quran, the Arabic language, and all that pertains to the teachings of religion.

Hadiths that mention anxiety:

Anas (RA) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever is mainly concerned about the hereafter, Allah will make him feel independent of others and will make him focused and content, and his worldly affairs will fall into place. But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allah will make him feel in constant need of others and will make him distracted and unfocused, and he will get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him.” (Jami’ al-Tirmidhi, no. 2389)

This narration suggests that ultimately the most productive mindset for the believer to dispel feelings of stress and anxiety is to disengage our hearts—not our actions—from this worldly life and set our sights on the eternal abode. Nonetheless, anxiety and stress are natural emotions present in even the most pious of believers. The wisdom of the Islamic tradition acknowledges this and provides us with several supplications that provide solace and healing for the believer.

The best dua for anxiety :

This dua was narrated in Sahih Muslim. It was said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would often supplicate the following:

Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَ الْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَ الْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal hazan, wal ‘ajzi wal kasal, wal bukhli wal jubn, wa dala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal

Meaning: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and overpowered by men.”

This dua specifically mentions the word worry and includes things that may induce worry or anxiety in today’s world, like debt and fear of violence.

I ask You by every Name belonging to You which You named Yourself with, or revealed in Your Book, or You taught to any of Your creation, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the life of my heart and the light of my breast, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety)
