Online Quran Courses with a Teacher

Progress according to your recitation and your goal

With Al-Dirassa, your teacher listens only to your recitation during the lesson. Every mistake can be identified and corrected immediately, and the work is adapted to your actual level rather than the pace of a group.

Depending on your goal, you can improve your recitation through Tajwid, follow a personalized Quran memorization programme or prepare for an Ijazah. Tajwid focuses on correcting and mastering recitation, Hifz structures memorization and revision, while Ijazah is intended for students who already have a strong recitation.

A free 30-minute assessment allows the teacher to listen to your recitation, assess your level and guide you towards the most suitable pathway and learning format.

Why learn the Quran with Al-Dirassa?

Individual correction

Your teacher listens only to your recitation

Every lesson is one-to-one. The teacher can hear each mistake, correct your makharij and Tajwid rules live, then have you repeat until your recitation becomes more accurate.

Language of instruction

In Arabic or with a bilingual teacher

Depending on your level and preferences, you can take lessons entirely in Arabic or choose a bilingual teacher French/Arabic or English/Arabic.

Schedule

Lessons available 6 days a week

Lessons are available from Saturday to Thursday, making regular practice easier to fit around your work and family schedule.

Progress

You progress according to the skills you actually master

There is no identical progression for everyone. The teacher adapts the work to your recitation, memorization, consistency and the goal you want to achieve.

Choose well and begin your Quran lessons

Tajwid Recitation
  • Correct your Quran recitation
  • Apply Tajwid rules
  • Improve your makharij and sifat
  • Study Tajwid texts progressively
Quran Memorization Hifz
  • Memorize surahs, juz’ or the entire Quran
  • Organize new memorization
  • Consolidate previous Hifz through Muraja‘a
  • Correct recitation during memorization
Quran Ijazah Advanced level
  • Recite the entire Quran before the teacher
  • Correct subtle mistakes
  • Make your Tajwid application consistent
  • Meet the requirements of the riwaya being studied
The pathways can complement one another. A student may study Tajwid while memorizing the Quran, then consider preparing for an Ijazah once their recitation reaches the required standard.

One teacher + you. Not a group.

In every lesson, your teacher listens only to your recitation. This allows pronunciation, Tajwid and fluency mistakes to be identified and corrected immediately, while the work is adapted to what is actually observed.

  • 100% individual attention: your recitation is never lost within a group.
  • Direct correction: pronunciation and recitation are corrected during the lesson.
  • Adapted programme: the content depends on the pathway and the student’s level.
  • Regular practice: you recite, repeat and apply the corrections.
  • Adapted progression: the work evolves according to the skills you actually demonstrate.

Progress reporting when you need it

A learning report can be provided on request to keep a record of the work completed, corrections made, skills acquired and areas to strengthen.

For structured programmes, a level certificate can also be issued on request when the programme includes validation and the expected skills have been acquired.

The programme is not identical for every student. The teacher adapts the progression to your recitation, memorization and goal.

Are you a beginner in Quran reading?

Your starting level is assessed before the programme is defined. If your reading still requires preparatory work, the teacher will identify the skills to strengthen before moving to a more advanced pathway.

  • Recognize the letters correctly.
  • Read vowels and reading signs.
  • Pronounce the letters more accurately.
  • Progress from words to Quranic verses.
  • Build sufficiently stable reading skills to continue the programme.
Do you not yet know how to read Arabic? An assessment determines the most suitable starting point before you enter a Tajwid or memorization pathway.

Have your recitation assessed before you begin

The free 30-minute assessment allows the teacher to identify your current level and determine the priority work.

  • Reading assessment.
  • Listening to your recitation.
  • Pronunciation assessment.
  • Tajwid assessment according to level.
  • Assessment of previously memorized Hifz when necessary.
  • Guidance towards the appropriate pathway.
Ijazah requires a specific assessment. Enrolment does not guarantee receiving it. Validation depends on your actual recitation level and the teacher’s requirements in the riwaya being studied.

A pathway that can evolve with your recitation

The three programmes are not necessarily separate. Your pathway may evolve as your recitation and memorization improve.

  • Tajwid: learn and progressively apply the rules of recitation.
  • Hifz: memorize while maintaining corrected recitation and regular revision.
  • Ijazah: consider a complete recitation before a teacher once your recitation is sufficiently strong.
Progress depends on what you truly master. The teacher may recommend strengthening your Tajwid or recitation before beginning Ijazah preparation.
