Egyptian Arabic is the language of everyday life in Egypt. It is used in family and social interactions, shops, transport, popular media and spontaneous conversations.
Our programme is designed for practical progress: understand what people say to you, respond naturally, expand your vocabulary and speak with pronunciation closer to Egyptian usage.
It is suitable for people who travel to or live in Egypt, those with Egyptian relatives, and students who want to complement Modern Standard Arabic with a living dialect.
The complete programme represents 480 hours across five levels. If a level is completed before all 96 hours are used, the remaining credit is carried forward to the next level.
You learn to recognise the words, turns of phrase and common expressions used by Egyptians.
You gradually develop the ability to respond, tell stories, explain and interact without constantly relying on translation.
Family, shopping, transport, restaurants, administrative tasks, housing and social life are gradually incorporated into the programme.
The teacher corrects the sounds, intonation and rhythm specific to Egyptian Arabic.
From the intermediate levels onward, you learn common formulas, proverbs and culturally rooted expressions.
The advanced level aims for fluent, independent communication in varied situations, including with native speakers.
