Begin structured study of Arabic grammar

Level 1 of An-Nahw Al-Wadih progressively introduces the fundamental principles of Arabic grammar. The student learns how a sentence is built and how to identify the function of its main elements.

The rules are studied through examples, exercises and guided analyses so that grammar becomes a genuine tool for understanding.

  • Recognise mubtada, khabar, verb and subject.
  • Understand the role of the direct object.
  • Begin grammatical analysis and i‘rab.

  • Students beginning a structured study of nahw.
  • People who can already read Arabic.
  • Students who want to consolidate their grammatical foundations.
  • People preparing for a deeper study of Arabic texts.
Prerequisite: it is recommended to be able to read Arabic and have basic vocabulary.

72 hours spread over 8 monthly instalments

Level 1 includes a credit of 72 hours of one-to-one lessons, spread over 8 monthly instalments of 9 hours.

The teaching pace remains close to 2 hours of lessons per week.

  • A regular pace of about 2 hours per week.
  • A dedicated teacher for the student.

Progressing to the next level

Once the learning objectives are validated, the student continues with An-Nahw Al-Wadih level 2.

Remaining credit: if the level is validated before all 72 hours are used, the remaining hours are preserved for the continuation of the curriculum.

Assessment and validation of the level

The teacher regularly checks understanding of the rules and the student’s ability to apply them when analysing sentences.
